A new species of Calathea (Marantaceae) from Veracruz, Mexico
A new species, Calathea misantlensis, is described and illustrated. Its closest affinities are with C. coccinea Standley & Steyermark from Chiapas and Oaxaca, Mexico, and Guatemala, but it differs from that species in inflorescence morphology.
