Samenvatting: | Based on material collected in the Costa Grande region of Guerrero, Triumfetta guerrerensis (Tiliaceae) is described and illustrated as a new species to science. This species is related to T. medusae W. W. Thomas & McVaugh. Both share entire or 3-lobed leaves, hermaphroditic flowers, 5-locular ovary and fruits provided with uncinated spinules; the first can be distinguished from the second in the presence of glands in the basal teeth of the lamina, sepal appendices ca. 2 mm long and a greater number of stamens. A comparative table of the most relevant characters for these species is presented. |
