Se reporta por primera vez la presencia de Digitonthophagus gazella en Bolivia, enlistando las localidades donde se han colectado especímenes de esta especie. Se discuten algunas hipótesis de su posible llegadaa este territorio y sobre el posible patrón de dispersión.
