Riassunto:Monk Parakeets seem to select the towers to place their nests depending on their design (towers of 132 Kv lines) and on the vegetation at their base (native thorny shrubs). Therefore, the modification of tower design and location emerges as a possible management rule against the expansión of this species, considered as an agricultural pest. Nevertheless, additional studies should be carried out to verify if the tower selection detected reflects restrictive preferences of Monk Parakeets.
