Sumari:The results of this study shows that in Dendroctonus adjunctus, the alimentary canal has characteristicsnot found in other scolytids. We observad oesophageal bristle, the crop is divided in two zones, the structure of the armarium results in that proventriculus being separated in three zones, the diverse cellular aspects located from the ventricular valve to the midgut, the close relationship among the malpighian tubules with midgut, fat body, ileum and the gastric caeca at the posterior midgut.
