En el presente trabajo se ha desarrollado un método de valoración del paisaje a partir de una aproximación mixta empleando variables relacionadas con atributos estéticos. Para ello se ha propuesto una relación de variables que permiten cuantificar de forma objetiva en fotografías sus líneas, formas, colores, textura, composición espacial y escala. Se han medido estas variables para un paisaje de carácter forestal y se ha consultado a la población el valor que asignan a ese paisaje. Con la información anterior se han probado técnicas estadísticas de regresión para deducir un método predictivo de las preferencias a partir de los atributos estéticos. El modelo óptimo deducido adopta una forma lineal y alcanza a explicar 60,1% de la varianza de las preferencias de la población.
