| Čoahkkáigeassu: | Lobelia setulosa E. Wimmer, a plant collected more than 160 years ago and only known from the type collection, is now documented from the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Guerrero. The following are considered as new taxa: L. porphyrea and L. flexicaulis. The first one was collected in the state of Hidalgo and is related to L. gruina Cav., but stands out in its purple flowers. The second grows in the states of Guerrero and Mexico and apparently is related to L. bryophila E. Wimmer, which differs in its minutely serrate leaves concentrated at the plant base, as well as to L. setulosa E. Wimmer, which differs in its hirsutulous pubescence and in its toothless calyx lobes. The three species are described and illustrated.
