Se provee una clave y se describen los géneros Calyculosphaeria, Fracchiaea, Scortechinia, Spinulosphaeria y Thaxteria, así como las especies Calyculosphaeria calyculus (Mont.) Fitzp., C. tetraspora (Nannf.) comb. nov., Fracchiaea heterogena Sacc., Scortechinia acanthostroma Sacc. et. Berl., Spinulosphaeria thaxteri (Pat.) Sivanesan y Thaxteria didyma (Speg.) Sacc. Las últimas se encontraron creciendo asociadas a estromas viejos de otros pirenomicetos o sobre restos de plantas tropicales en los estados de Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas y Veracruz.
