Standleyi, para el género Lonchocarpus (Leguminosae, Papilionoideae, Millettieae) basada en forma esencial en conceptos propuestos con anterioridad, pero no válidamente publicados. También se describen e ilustran seis taxa nuevos para la ciencia: cinco especies, Lonchocarpus martinezii, L. savannicola, L. semideserti, L. stenophyllus, L. tuxtepecensis y una nueva subespecie L. lanceolatus subsp. calciphilus. Se propone por primera vez como binomio más antiguo a Lonchocarpus pubescens, quedando bajo sinonimia L. dipteroneurus y cuatro nombres previamente asociados.
