| description | The author wishes to put the accent on the importance of the Latin American naturalistic literature, which is so poorly recognized within the Italian scientific milieu. The innovative contributions of two contemporary scientists and thinkers, Eduardo H. Rapoport from Argentina, and Gonzalo Halffter from Mexico are considered as paradigmatic examples. About E. Rapoport, the author discusses his ideas concerning the species’ geographical strategies, and the phenomenon of biogeographical pollution. Regarding G. Halffter, the author underlines his philosophical and scientific path towards a synthesis between ecological and historical factors of biological evolution, together with his approach to global conservation problems and natural resources management strategies – specifically highlighting Halffter’s Biosphere Reserve model. A summarized analysis of the historic background originality of Latin American approach is also provided. Finally, the author emphasizes the world’s contemporary risk of cultural diversity loss, and the consequent need for increasing scientific interactions between Italy and Latin America. |

El autor desea resaltar la importancia de la literatura naturalista latinoamericana, la cual es tan pobremente reconocida dentro del medio científico italiano. Se consideran como ejemplos paradigmáticos, las contribuciones novedosas de dos científicos y pensadores contemporáneos, Eduardo H. Rapoport de Argentina, y Gonzálo Halffter de México. Acerca de E. Rapoport, el autor discute sus ideas respecto de las estrategias geográficas de las especies y el fenómeno de contaminación biogeográfico. Con respecto a G. Hallter, el autor subraya su trayectoria científica y filosófica hacia una síntesis entre los factores ecológicos e históricos de la evolución biológica, junto con su enfoque a los problemas de conservación global y las estrategias de manejo de recursos naturales -especialmente remarcando el modelo de Reservas de la Biósfera de Halffter. Se proporciona un análisis resumido del panorama histórico sobre el enfoque original latinoamericano. Finalmente, el autor hace hincapié del riesgo en el mundo contemporáneo por la pérdida de diversidad cultural y la consecuente necesidad de incrementar las interacciones científicas entre Italia y América Latina.
