A checklist of the species for the region is presented, and a key to the subfamilies and genera is proposed. |

A través de la revisión de material tipo, Myrmecoblatta hebardi Estrada-Álvarez & Guadarrama, 2013 es transferida al género Paralatindia Saussure, 1868; Latindia mexicana Saussure, 1868 es retransferida al género Compsodes Hebard, 1917; y Homoeogamia brasiliana (Saussure, 1864) se revela como sinonimia de Polyphaga aegyptiaca (Linnaeus, 1758), una especie del Viejo Mundo.
