Sumario:Forty six genera, 102 species and 11 subspecies of terrestrial gastropods belonging to 24 families are recorded for the southern region of the state of Tamaulipas. Thirty three species are new records. The families with the largest number of species are the Spiraxidae (18), Polygyridae (11) and Helicinidae (10). Those species with the greatest distribution by localities are Praticolella berlandieriana and Helicina chrysocheila. Are recorded 105 species of terrestrial gastropods for the state of Tamaulipas.
