En una corta estadía en 2017 en la Reserva de la Biosfera Los Tuxtlas, se realizaron algunas observaciones biológicas sobre un par de especies de insectos, con las que pudimos descubrir sus plantas hospederas. Después de la determinación taxonómica de las plantas e insectos, se encontró que Agrosoma pulchella (Guérin-Méneville, 1829) utiliza como planta huésped Plectranthus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng. y Cladonota apicalis (Stal, 1869) usa Piper hispidum Sw. Además, se proporciona una distribución de ambas especies de insectos.
