Considering the percentage of occurrence, the most important prey group were fishes (54.1%) and crustaceous (30.8%); other prey groups were insects (7.5%), reptiles (6.2%) and birds (1.4%). The most important prey species were Macrobrachium spp (crawfish), Agonostomus monticola, Cichlasoma meeki, and Sicydium gymnogaster (fishes).
