Clutch size is affected by female size (snout-vent length SVL) and by variation in rainfall patterns. |

Se colectaron 156 individuos (87 hembras, 69 machos) de marzo a octubre del año de 1981, para definir su ciclo reproductivo. Para determinar el tamaño de la puesta se examinaron 94 hembras colectadas en los meses de junio y julio durante cuatro años consecutivos (1978-1981). Se encontró que el ciclo reproductivo de las hembras abarca un período de cinco meses (abril a agosto) y la mayor incidencia de hembras grávidas se encontró en julio. El ciclo reproductivo de los machos se inicia en marzo y finaliza en agosto. El tamaño promedio de la puesta fue de 4.2 huevos, las hembras son reproductivas en la primera estación después de su eclosión (menores de 12 meses). El tamaño de puesta está influenciado por el tamaño de las hembras (LHC) y por la variación de la precipitación pluvial.
